Hi guys!

I'm back from Atlanta now...trying to get back into the swing of things. We got a brand spankin' new computer, which is exciting! Woot!
I was hoping when I got home I'd have a message on my answering machine telling me that I am now a published author...blargh. Didn't happen. I still haven't heard anything from quite a few publishing houses that I've sent Sally Circle to. I submitted in late February, and a few of them I submitted in mid January. There were a few I sent out in the beginning of April. But really, I just want a response now. I mean, I'm even anxiously checking the mail for rejections. I guess I just want some news. Even though, in the writing world, any news isn't really good news.

Have any of you submitted manuscripts before? How long until you heard from them?

Anyway, I still have a completed PB that I haven't sent out yet...I still have 4 more publishing houses to submit Sally Circle to, and I kind of wanted to wrap up the Sally Circle submissions before I moved on to the next one.
Does anyone else ever daydream about getting "the call?" I totally do. Like a dork.

Anyway, is everyone back from memorial day vacations yet? I've missed you guys!
Leave me a message!

Glad you're back, D!

How super sucky that you're just waiting and waiting and waiting. I hate waiting! Hopefully you'll get some Sally Circle news soon!

As for me... I'm just reading Tell Me What You See... did you like it? I'm about 60 pages in and I'm seriously struggling.

Dena - I dream about the call every day! I just started querying my novel, so I'm officially in waiting game now, too!

Time to start something new.

Getting a reply from a publishing house usually take about 5-8 months doesn't it?
