Dorking out for a moment.

Back in 1998, I was in a marching band that won what's called Grand Nationals. We practiced non stop, every day, in the Georgia heat for almost a year to get to this moment, and we won.

I found a video of it on youtube!!! HA! I'm in this band, somewhere.

Enjoy!

That was really cool! I know nothing about bands and coordination, but I was impressed.

ha! Thanks Jon. It took place in Indianapolis, in the old dome that's torn down now. It's pretty cool to watch it and think...how the HELL did I do that?

Band geek!

Seriously, that was awesome! I wasn't in band, but we are going to FORCE our kids to do it. So, what instrument do you play?

OMG! I was in marching band for four years! Played bass clarinet and loved every minute of it. We went to the outback bowl and played in Disney World for Disney Music Days. Totally awesome. Never made it to YouTube though!

I played the flute/piccolo.

A. Grey- We played at the Rose bowl parade, the macy's thanksgiving day parade, and the orange bowl parade...I had so many good experiences in band. It was a lot of fun, but that year was a killer! BAND GEEKS UNITE!
