I'm not sure how I feel about that.
HAHAHAHA! You didn't know at the end everyone dies, and the evil protagonist, Trixie, gets away with her crime? It's definitely a weird genre for him to venture into. Maybe someone had some kids who he wanted to read his stories to. Kind of like when actors who do raunchy comedy or horror turn to Disney movies so their kids can watch them.
Koontz is such a good writer that I bet he makes this work well.

I think everyone is getting into the kidlit game. Bodes well for the future of kidlit, that it is seen as a lucrative place to be!!
